Digital Storytelling | Sharing Migrant Stories on the Sunshine Coast, Australia
Every person has a story worth telling.
This documentary follows the Digital Storytelling project at Nambour Community Centre on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, where participants from diverse cultural backgrounds came together to share their personal journeys through film.
Over six weeks, they explored memories, migration, identity, belonging and resilience, transforming photographs, family archives, voice recordings and personal reflections into short digital stories.
This film offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process, featuring interviews with participants, project facilitators and community leaders. It celebrates the power of storytelling to connect people, preserve lived experiences and strengthen communities.
Digital storytelling is more than learning to edit a video—it is about finding your voice, sharing your experiences, and ensuring that every story has the opportunity to be heard.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this inspiring project and generously shared their stories.
